OhioHealth Volunteer Programs
Requirements to volunteer with OhioHealth
(regardless of volunteer role) include:
- All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application. Please note, some volunteer roles require the volunteer to be at least 18 years old.
- All volunteers must submit records to Associate Health for an Immunization Review documenting evidence of immunity to MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) and Varicella (Chickenpox). Titers

may be provided in the absence of immunization documentation.
- All volunteers are required to have an initial TB (Tuberculosis) screening at no cost to the volunteer.
- All volunteers are required to have a yearly documented flu shot during flu season, between December 1 and March 31. Exemptions for religious or medical reasons are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. During flu season, the flu vaccine is available to current volunteers at no cost to the volunteer.
- All volunteers must submit to a criminal background check or fingerprint screening, provided at no cost to the volunteer.
- Although the COVID-19 vaccine is no longer required by the federal mandate, OhioHealth strongly recommends that all who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and boosters receive them.
